Privacy Policy

Effective Date: 10/09/2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Apna Showcase ("we", "us" or "our") handles information in connection with our platform ("Platform").

We aim to collect and use information reasonably needed to operate, improve and promote the Platform.

1. Information We Collect

We may collect information in the following ways:

From Business Owners:
When a Business Owner submits information to us, including through our forms, we may collect their name, contact details, business information, catalogue and product information, images, logos and other content they provide.

From Platform Visitors:
When an End Customer or other visitor browses a public catalogue, we may automatically receive limited technical and usage information, such as pages viewed, clicks, browser or device information, IP address and similar information through the Platform and Google Analytics.

We do not collect orders, payment details, delivery details or other personal information from End Customers through the catalogue or cart.

2. How We Use Information

We may use information to:

  • create, publish and maintain catalogues;
  • communicate with and support Business Owners;
  • contact Business Owners about their catalogue or the Platform;
  • provide Platform updates, offers and promotions;
  • understand how the Platform and catalogues are used;
  • improve the Platform, features and user experience;
  • maintain security and address misuse, fraud or infringement; and
  • comply with applicable law.

3. Public Catalogue Information and Promotion

Business Owners understand that information submitted for publication may become publicly available as part of their catalogue.

We may also use publicly displayed business and catalogue information to showcase and promote the Platform. This may include the business name, catalogue link, logo, product images and publicly displayed catalogue content.

Such information may be featured on our website, social media, advertisements, promotional posts, presentations or other marketing channels.

This does not transfer ownership of any Business Owner's brand, trademark or other intellectual property to the Platform Owner.

Business Owners should not submit private, confidential or unnecessary personal information for public display and are responsible for ensuring they have the right to provide any third-party information or content they submit.

4. Communications and Marketing

We may contact Business Owners using the details they provide, including by email, telephone or WhatsApp.

Communications may relate to their catalogue, support, Platform updates, new features, services, offers or promotions.

Business Owners may request that promotional communications be stopped. Necessary service, security or operational communications may still be sent.

5. End Customers and WhatsApp

The Platform does not require End Customers to create an account or submit personal information through a checkout or enquiry form.

When an End Customer uses a cart or contact option, the Platform opens a WhatsApp conversation with the relevant Business Owner.

Information shared after that point is handled between the End Customer and Business Owner and is also subject to the applicable terms and privacy practices of WhatsApp.

The Platform Owner does not control how a Business Owner collects or uses information received directly from an End Customer.

6. Analytics, Cookies and Similar Technologies

We use Google Analytics to understand visits, clicks, navigation and general usage of the Platform and catalogues and to help improve our services.

The Platform or third-party services may also use cookies or similar technologies for analytics, security, functionality and other legitimate Platform purposes.

The technologies and third-party services used may change as the Platform develops. Where required by applicable law, appropriate notices or choices will be provided.

7. Service Providers and Sharing

We may use trusted third-party services to operate and support the Platform, including services for forms, spreadsheets, hosting, image storage, analytics, communication and security.

These may include Google Forms/Google Sheets, Cloudinary, hosting providers, Google Analytics and WhatsApp.

Information may be shared with such providers where reasonably necessary to provide their services.

We may also disclose information where required by law, to respond to lawful government or regulatory requests, investigate suspected misuse or infringement, protect the Platform or its users, or in connection with a sale, merger, restructuring or other transfer of the Platform or its business.

We do not sell or rent personal information as a business practice.

8. Security and Retention

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information under our control.

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to operate the Platform, provide services, maintain records, resolve issues, prevent misuse or comply with applicable law.

Information may remain for a limited period in backups or records where reasonably required.

No online system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

9. Privacy Requests

Business Owners may contact us to request correction or deletion of information they have provided to us, or to raise a privacy-related concern.

We will consider and handle reasonable requests in accordance with applicable law.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the Platform develops, our services change, or when reasonably required.

The latest version will be made available on the Platform.
